Tokyo Content 2017 VR/AR becomes the standard for Japanese exhibitions

Tokyo Content2017, which was held last week, has attracted a lot of attention. At this exhibition, there were seven booths and 1,650 content companies from all over the world participated in the exhibition. At the show, animations, comics, and games that flaunt the “Japan label” around the world were exhibited.

Among them, the Piracy Hall allows visitors to see and experience cutting-edge entertainment technologies, especially the VR/AR hardware and software experience. In the Hado booth designed for Fuji Television, TV TOKYO and other customers to design entertainment content, visitors played Hado Shoot - several visitors put on VR heads, shot with virtual light balls, and scored by hitting each other's body. .

At the same time, Marga Animation Planet, a Sega-affiliated CGI Animation company, provided a VR experience inspired by the series of "Resident Evil" science fiction. Players must cross a tunnel and be careful not to be killed while fighting.

The "surround sound" provided by music production company Grandfunk and animation company Koo-ki is an immersive VR experience that combines music with colorful triangles, cubes and other shapes to create engaging effects.

In the keynote speech, Naomi Tomita, head of robot company Hapi-Robo and chief information officer of Huis Ten Bosch theme park, said that the ultimate goal of VR development is the integration of “virtual” and “reality”. Although the current technology does not reach this point, the 69-year-old executive pointed out that digital technology still has a way to "subtlely simulate" what he calls the experience.

He quoted an example of the VR fusion in Huis Ten Bosch in Nagasaki. The theme park's current high-tech attractions are the Robot Hotel and VR Center, where virtual bungee jumping experiences and "love simulation" experience projects can be found in which a short-lived love comes with a handsome virtual robot.

Half-cut Mono Solar Panel

Half-cell solar modules have solar cells that are cut in half, which improves the solar module`s performance and durability. Traditional 60-cell and 72-cell solar panels will have 120 half-cut cells and 144 half-cut cells, respectively. When solar cells are halved, their current is also halved, so resistive losses are lowered and the solar cells can produce more power.

Smaller cells experience reduced mechanical stresses, reaching a decreased opportunity for cracking. Half cut cell PV modules have higher output ratings and are more reliable than conventional solar panels.
