The actual “invisible†glass actually consists of 30 layers, and the thickness of a single layer is only nanometer level.
For ordinary glass, about 92% of incident light is transmitted and 8% is reflected. The 99.5% of incident light of the new glass is transparent, and only about 0.5% of it is reflected. The new glass-made substrate is expected to greatly improve the efficiency of the backlight module, thereby reducing the power consumption while maintaining the brightness almost unchanged. Of course, this thing cannot be used as a door or window.
