(NASDAQ: XLNX), a global leader in All Programmable technologies and devices, announced the launch of a new set of technologies at the 2016 Global Supercomputing Conference (SC 16). — Xilinx reconfigurable accelerated stacking solutions designed to help the world's largest cloud service providers rapidly develop and deploy acceleration platforms. An FPGA-based Xilinx reconfigurable acceleration stack designed specifically for cloud-based applications, including libraries, framework integration, development boards, and support for OpenStack. With Xilinx FPGAs, this reconfigurable accelerated stack solution delivers the industry's highest computational efficiency: 40 times higher than x86 server CPUs and up to 6 times faster than competing FPGA solutions.

Through dynamic reconfigurable technology, Xilinx enables chip-level optimization for a variety of workloads that require high-performance computing such as machine learning, data analysis, video transcoding, and more. By switching to the optimal design bitstream, optimization of these workloads takes only a few milliseconds.

Because Xilinx FPGAs have the DSP architecture advantages for limited precision data types, outstanding on-chip memory resources, and the technological advantages of leading competitive FPGAs for more than a year, today's Xilinx FPGAs enable ultra-large-scale data centers in machines.
