In the “Notice on Declaring National Independent Innovation Products†promulgated in 2009, the specific scope of identification in each of the six recognized technical fields was explained in detail. On April 9 this year, the “Efficient Lighting Product Promotion Project†implemented by the Ministry of Finance and the National Development and Reform Commission concluded that the finalists must meet the national energy efficiency lighting first-class energy efficiency standards. This is also the third year that China has subsidized the promotion of high-efficiency lighting products through the government procurement model following the implementation of the national “Efficient Lighting Product Promotion Project†in 2008 and 2009.

Compared with the fifth batch and the sixth batch of independent innovation product catalogues announced by Beijing, the number of LED lighting enterprises has increased from 5 enterprises in the fifth batch to 5, and the number of applications has increased from 4 to 9. In August last year, among the 119 products selected by the “Guangdong Provincial Government Procurement of Independent Innovation Products List†(Phase I), 6 independent innovation products of 4 LED companies were selected.
