Apple released a new version of tvOS this morning, which has upgraded the functionality of Apple TV, adding 4K HDR video and Dolby ATMOS resources.
In the new version of tvOS, the Apple TV remote will be automatically added to the iOS control center, and support for other third-party remotes will be added, allowing users to control the Apple TV using their mobile phones. In the past, you could only use the iPhone or iPad for input when you want to enter text.
In terms of video content, there are currently more than 100 video channels in tvOS, and some cable companies are working with Apple TV, such as French Canal+ and Swiss Salt. Traditional TV stations will continue to log in to Apple TV to provide users with more video resources.
In addition, videos that users have previously purchased can be upgraded to 4K HDR for free to get more vivid and bright colors and realistic details, while supporting Dolby ATMOS sound. iTunes will also offer the world's largest 4K HDR movie resources in the future. Apple said that Apple TV is currently the only streaming media player that combines Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos.
