1. Some new speakers need to be used for a period of time before they can exert their excellent performance. This is called "burning". Otherwise, its replayed sounds will appear hard and overly bright, or tightly intact. This time course can be very different for different speakers, ranging from tens of hours to tens of days.
Second, due to physical factors, the small bookshelf speaker's bass dynamic range cannot be too large, so even if its low frequency extension is very low, its practical significance is not great. It can be seen that the pursuit of the low frequency limit of small speakers, the actual effect I am afraid that it is ideal, and it is not suitable for the replay of burst music.
3. The nominal impedance of the speaker is usually 4Ω and 8Ω. Although the 4Ω impedance speaker can make the power amplifier output more power, because the impedance is lower, the output current capability of the power amplifier is required to be high. Some power amplifiers with small power supply margins often cause increased distortion, and low-impedance speakers are not good for damping and will affect low-frequency control. In addition, the impedance of some speakers may be reduced to below half the value at certain frequencies during actual operation, so it is best to choose speakers with an impedance of 8Ω. (For example, the load impedance of many AV amplifiers cannot be lower than 6Ω)
4. Although the speaker of the small-caliber speaker unit can achieve very good listening effects, this speaker is only suitable for close-range listening. For rooms with a larger space, such as hall sounds, large speakers with larger-caliber speaker units should be selected to achieve good listening effects.
5. Dumbbell speaker adopts two same mid-low frequency speaker units, which are symmetrically arranged on both sides of the high frequency unit, which can achieve better low frequency and transient response, higher sensitivity and power endurance, and large dynamic nonlinear distortion. Small, but its mid-band comprehensive frequency characteristics tend to produce troughs, and its vertical directionality is narrow, so its midrange performance should be noted. However, the lower unit of some dumbbell-type speakers is only used for reproducing low frequencies, and the upper unit reproduces middle and low frequencies, so-called 2.5 frequency division, and the above shortcomings can be overcome.
Sixth, the two-wire crossover speaker has two sets of speaker terminals. For ordinary connection, the two sets of terminals are connected in parallel. At this time, the speaker wire must be connected to the pair of terminals of the mid-low frequency unit, otherwise the two sets of terminals Most of the effects of low-frequency replay will be lost due to the influence of parallel wiring or copper.
7. Floor-standing speakers are placed on the ground, but they often affect the balance of the replayed sound due to the resonance of the ground, and even cause the bass to boom, so in most cases, foot nails are indispensable. Most of the stand speakers need to be equipped with a tripod with a suitable height, and they are placed on the table cabinet at will. Due to the reflection of the sound wave, the replay characteristics of the speaker often change. For the high-frequency unit, use a mirror-symmetrically designed speaker (that is, the high-frequency unit is not in the middle of the baffle), and the high-frequency unit should be biased to the inside when it is placed.
8. Between the speaker and the tripod, it is best to use three small pieces of foam double-sided tape to stick to the bottom of the speaker in a triangular position, and then put it on the tripod, so that the speaker has a certain adhesion between the tripod. Otherwise, the speaker may be accidentally brought to the speaker during use, and the speaker may easily slip out of the tripod and fall to the ground and fall.
Nine, the bass reflection type speaker with the opening of the sound outlet set on the rear baffle of the speaker, the distance between it and the rear wall must be adjusted to obtain normal and reasonable low frequency performance. If the distance is too close, there will generally be too much low-frequency or ambiguous sound. If the distance is too far, the low frequency may be insufficient. The speaker with the sound outlet on the front baffle can be installed on a low cabinet without worrying about reflection holes.
10. Speakers are extremely susceptible to the acoustic characteristics and placement of the room where they are placed. When the speaker is placed in different spatial environments, its sound effect will be different. Even if it is the same speaker and has the same frequency response through the balanced playback system, as long as the room size is different, its sound effect will also be different.
