According to reports, Digital Product Studio Adventure Club has launched a VR project called The Creators Project, designed to help pregnant mothers see their children in the womb.
The birth of a child brings great joy to the mother. In the same way, it is also a joyful experience that a mother sees a child who is still in her womb before she is born.
To allow mothers to see their child's appearance in the womb, the traditional method is to use ultrasound scanners to obtain rough, black and white 2D images. Combining VR and ultrasound technology, VR ultrasound scanners can come with a brand new 3D VR experience.
“Our company has been experimenting with new technologies. Recently, we have been trying different ways to use VR technology for the healthcare industry. My wife is pregnant, so I came up with this idea.†Samuli Cantell, creative director of Adventure Club, talks about The Creators Project said, "One goal of this project is to create something truly personal in VR."
Adventure Club collaborates with 4D ultrasound scanner manufacturer GE and Finnish company Aava Medical Centre. Using the techniques of the two companies, Adventure Club is able to transform the appearance and activities of the baby in the mother's womb into a 3D model and eventually become a VR image.
Samuli Cantell first experimented with his pregnant wife. We can see that the baby's umbilical cord is intact, floating in the mother's silent uterus and gently shaking.
“This project is currently just a home experiment, but we want to create a service,†said Samuli Cantell, referring to the prospect of The Creators Project. “At the moment, this service looks too expensive because it requires the creation of 3D models. The work of many professionals, but when the scanner is further developed, I think this may be the future of ultrasound.
