Osaka building will use LED thin film solar panels

Japan's Sharp recently announced that it will be equipped with "Lumiwall" at the corner of the Yodoyabashi Redevelopment Building in the Chuo-ku, Osaka, Japan, and the built-in LED thin-film solar cell, which is a glass that emits light during the day.

It is understood that the Lumiwall developed by Sharp is a device that absorbs solar energy into electricity during the day and stores it with stored energy to illuminate the built-in LED at night.

According to Sharp, Lumiwall uses the "see-through tandem cell" developed by Sharp's proprietary technology to increase output by 50% (maximum output of 35W) and use a lighter bulb or fluorescent lamp. High-brightness white LED lamp with low power consumption and longer life.

Sharp pointed out that the Yodoyabashi Redevelopment Building is a 16-story building, and the total solar cells used in the building are 20.8 KW.
