The world’s first transformer with the highest voltage rating of 1,700 kV UHV was officially rolled out on July 8 at the TBEA Xinjiang Power Transmission Technology Industrial Park, marking that TBEA has fully manufactured 500 kV, 750 kV and 1000 transformers. The capacity of the kilovolt power transformers and reactors has achieved "triple jump" and taken the lead in the world.

TBEA Xinjiang Power Transmission Technology Industrial Park is the largest UHV transformer production base in western China for Central Asia, South Asia and West Asia. The UHV base project started construction in April 2010 and was put into operation at the end of March 2011. It took only eight months from construction to completion. As a national key industry revitalization and technological renovation project, the workshop adopts world-class standard design with independent intellectual property rights, adopts first-rate manufacturing and testing equipment at home and abroad, and fully integrates advanced automated, unmanned, digital, and integrated production methods.
