First, note: Lei bell radar level meter accurate measurement, rely on the reflected wave signal. If the liquid level cannot be reflected back to the radar antenna or the interference wave is reflected by the interference wave to the radar level gauge in the selected installation position, the radar level gauge cannot accurately reflect the actual liquid level. Therefore, choosing the installation location for radar is very important for radar level gauges. The following points should be noted during installation:

(1) The axis of the radar level gauge antenna should be perpendicular to the reflective surface of the liquid level.

(2) The tank's stirring valve, sticking material on the tank wall, bore diameter, etc., if it is within the signal range of the radar level gauge, will produce disturbed reflected waves, affecting the liquid level measurement. Select a suitable mounting position during installation to avoid interference with these factors.

(3) The horn of the horn type radar level gauge should exceed the inner surface of the mounting hole by a certain interval (>10mm). The antenna of the rod level gauge shall extend out of the mounting hole. The length of the mounting hole shall not exceed 100mm. For round or elliptical containers, they should be installed at a distance of 1/2R from the center (R is the radius of the container). They should not be installed in the center of a round or elliptical container top, otherwise the radar waves are in the container wall. After multiple reflections, they are collected at the center of the top of the container, forming a strong interference wave that will affect the correct measurement.

(4) For level measurement of vessels with large level fluctuations, a level gauge with a bypass pipe may be used to reduce the effect of fluctuations in the level. After installation, you can use the PC with MAT software to observe the reflected wave graph to determine whether the gauge is properly installed. If not, adjust the installation position further until it is satisfied.

In our tank, we originally chose to install the radar level gauge at about 300mm from the slot wall. The reflection curve of the PC is shown in Figure 2a. There is a strong interference wave in front of the reflected wave. The main cause of this disturbing wave may be fouling on the walls of the tank. In order to avoid the influence of these factors, we chose to have a distance of 1000mm from the antenna and the support column, as shown in Figure 1b. The reflection wave diagram of the PC with the MAT software is shown in Figure 2b, which reduces the interference wave. The intensity effectively removes the effects of interfering waves. For interference waves that can not be avoided in some installation positions, such as the interference waves shown in Figure 2b, the Force radar level meter can be used to identify the false wave function. The level gauge can identify the interference reflection wave according to the actual liquid level and store it in the radar level. The internal database of the meter enables the radar level gauge to recognize these interference waves during data processing and remove the influence of these interference reflection waves to ensure the correctness of the measurement.

Second, daily maintenance: Radar flawless and mainly composed of electronic components and antennas, no moving parts, very few in use. The accidental problem encountered in use is that some volatile organic substances in the tank will crystallize on the bell mouth or antenna of the radar level gauge. As long as they are checked and cleaned as scheduled, the amount of maintenance is small. During routine maintenance, the reflected wave profile can be observed remotely using a PC (with MAT software). For interference waves that may be newly generated later, the level gauge can be used to identify false waves and remove the influence of these interference waves. To ensure correct measurement.
