Nuclear power growth is less than half of wind power in the next decade

Recently, the new energy plan, which has attracted much attention, will eventually be named "The New Energy Industry Development Plan." The industry believes that after the introduction of the new energy development plan, China's new energy investment will reach 5 trillion yuan in the next decade.

According to reports, the areas supported by this plan focus on seven aspects: wind energy, solar energy, nuclear energy, biomass energy, water energy, clean utilization of coal, and smart grid. In terms of specific implementation paths, development scale, and major policy initiatives, the deployment of new energy sources and the upgrading of traditional energy sources have been deployed.

It is estimated that by 2020, China's new energy power generation capacity will be 290 million kilowatts, accounting for about 17% of the total installed capacity. Among them, nuclear power generation will reach 70 million kilowatts, wind power capacity will approach 150 million kilowatts, solar power generation capacity will reach 20 million kilowatts, and biomass power generation capacity will reach 30 million kilowatts. "Mid-term and long-term development of pollution-free clean coal power generation technology is the key to China's realization of a low-carbon economy. The integrated gasification combined cycle power generation technology (IGCC) will become the future of coal-fired power," the plan pointed out.

According to the plan, after the implementation of the new energy industry plan, by 2020, it will greatly reduce the excessive dependence on coal demand, can reduce the sulfur dioxide emissions of that year by about 7.8 million tons, and reduce the carbon dioxide emissions of the year by about 1.2 billion tons. In the planning period, the accumulated investment will increase by 5 trillion yuan. The annual output value will increase by 1.5 trillion yuan, and 15 million social jobs will be created.
