A silver oxide battery (SR battery) is a small primary battery in which silver oxide is used for the positive electrode, zinc is used for the negative electrode, and an alkaline aqueous solution is used as the electrolytic solution. It has a large capacity and stable characteristics, and is widely used for medical equipment and precision instruments mainly for watches. Murata's silver oxide batteries are all made in Japan. Relationship between discharge characteristics and temperature/capacity
Principle of Silver Oxide Battery The positive (positive) active material uses high-capacity silver oxide, and the negative (negative) active material uses specially treated fine zinc powder.
