The purpose and principle of voltage relay

A voltage relay is an electronic control device that has a control system (also called an input loop) and a controlled system (also called an output loop). It is usually used in an automatic control circuit. It actually uses a smaller current to control the comparator. An "automatic switch" for high currents. Therefore, it plays the role of automatic adjustment, safety protection and conversion circuit in the circuit. Mainly used in relay protection devices for generators, transformers and transmission lines, as a starting element for overvoltage protection or low voltage blocking.

Structure and principle The electromagnetic voltage relay is divided into a convex fixed structure, a protruding plug-in structure, an embedded plug-in structure, etc., and has a transparent plastic cover, which can observe the setting value and specifications of the relay. The relay is electromagnetic, instantaneous action, the magnetic system has two coils, the coil is connected to the base terminal, and the user can connect the series and parallel according to the need, so that the relay setting range can be doubled. The scale value and rated value of the relay nameplate are the current (in A) of the current relay when the coil is connected in series, and the voltage (in V) when the voltage relay is connected in parallel. Turn the pointer on the dial to change the reaction torque of the balance to change the action value of the relay. Action of the relay: For an overcurrent (voltage) relay, when the current (pressure) rises to a setting value or is greater than the setting value, the relay operates, the moving contact closes, and the breaking contact opens. When the current (pressure) is reduced to 0.8 times the setting value, the relay returns, the moving contact is opened, and the breaking contact is closed. For the low voltage relay, when the voltage is reduced to the set voltage, the relay acts, and the relay touches. The point is broken and the break contact is closed.
